Wentworth Church - Yorkshire

Views around Wentworth II

There's a lovely public footpath in Wentworth running from Clayfield Lane to the Sawmills. It traverses a number of  fields as it passes through the Fitzwilliam Estate. The views from here are magnificent. This painting features a view south from there. The Holy Trinity Church can just be seen as it  rises above the trees in the distance.

Measuring 10" x 6.5" on canvas board, this acrylic painting is #11 of 52.
One a week for a year.
(£10)

  2. Hello Mr.D
Congratulations on being my first male comment.
Yes, just call me Mrs. Ostrich, I am far too sensitive to cope with this world as it is at the
moment, but maybe it has always been the same and I have changed in my prime (a nicer word than old age.D)
What a challenge you have set with a painting week.
I love the thistles, I could just see that worked in threads.

  4. Thank you for popping by my blog. I come from South Yorkshire so I know many of the places you paint. Really bright and cheery work - just what's needed for these grey days!
