Butterfly at twelve o'clock
This colourful little friend appears to be enjoying himself - unfortunately the freeze frame doesn't do justice to his areodynamics. As you can see he only just managed to stay in the frame, shy little so 'n' so !
Measuring 10" x 6.5" on canvas board, this acrylic painting is #18 of 52.
One a week for a year - enjoy.

What a lovely little painting - Summer is ahead although to see the rain dripping down in Lacashire you wouldn't know it.
ReplyDeleteThat is an unusual painting and I really like it. Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by and the kind comment. As you can probably see we are most taken with Northumberland!
ReplyDeleteHello there! I'm coming via Heartshaped blog..you're so talented!
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely - it really captures the fluttering of the butterfly. When I try to photograph them they're always just going out of the frame!
ReplyDeleteHello Mister D thankyou for visiting me - I like your work, your butterfly is beautiful. I think you paint what you see and not what you want to see (which is my problem I have been told!), I will come back and have a longer look later. How interesting to play the tuba - wonder if you have a tune or too on your blog somewhere - will investigate. all the best, Betty (mrsyappydog and imaginarybrushstrokes)
ReplyDeleteIs your Cornwall picture still for sale? If so, i'll buy it. Let me know. x
